Day Two

APRIL SECOND

Yesterday was April Fool’s
but today is cold and grim
Yesterday anything goes
But today chances are slim

Yesterday the jails were stocked
with profiteers & crooked cops
We ran the corporate frauds out town
Fences & borders, tore them down
and did you hear? The army bases
We turned them into meeting places
Where elders teach and children dance
We filled pipelines with flowering plants
we met – no exceeded – our kyoto target!
liquidated the stock market
so much better, when our brothers
are in charge of the rivers
and our sisters liberated
from the factories and the prisons

Yesterday was April Fool’s
But today our hopes are lessened
cause noone wants to hear that shit
today is April second.
