So I really let the ball drop on my drawing a day – not that I haven’t been drawing every day, but haven’t been keeping up with posting. I think I got confused about what the purpose of this process is – I draw for work sometimes, for fun, and for practice, and now for this. I’m not sure which is which anymore. Do they have to be good? Do they have to follow a theme? Should I post work in progress from contracts? A poem a day was easier because writing was always secondary and I never put too much pressure or expectations on myself. This exercise is forcing me to confront my fear of creating and sharing work that is rough, mediocre, or amateur.

Anyways, going from the day 21 prompt in ’31 days of drawing’ : “Ripple”. Quick pastel drawing from a photo
